A student was stabbed in Waterford city last night.
The incident happened on John Street between The Foundry nightclub and Amigos takeaway.
There was a large crowd congregated in the area, it's understood they were queuing for the Foundry nightclub.
The man who is in his late teens was stabbed just before midnight.
He was brought to University Hospital Waterford and operated on immediately, his injuries are not life threatening.

No arrests have been made and Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
