The Just Eat National Takeaway Awards 2017 was launched last night to showcase the best fast food spots in the South East and around the Country.

Now entering their fourth year, the Awards have become a big date in the industry calendar.

With over 40 food types now available on the takeaway website, including healthy options such as Thai, gluten free, coeliac and Japanese, the Awards will acknowledge the importance of choice for consumers, with 20 categories.

The Just Eat National Takeaway Awards will reveal Ireland’s favourite takeaway restaurant as well as the nation’s favourite takeaway dish. Last year, Ly Garden in Tallaght scooped the prize for the Best Takeaway in Ireland, while Chopped won in the Best Healthy Takeaway Category. Also at the Awards last year, Chicken Tikka Masala overtook the Spicebag as Ireland’s favourite takeaway dish.

Voting is open for all takeaway restaurants throughout Ireland online at www.just-eat.ie/takeawayawards2017, closing on 25th of September with a shortlist announcement on 28th. The shortlist vote will then close on the 9th, with the Awards night taking place on the 17th of October 2017 in Dublin’s Number 22.
