UPDATE: A 19-year-old man has died after taking a substance at Cork music festival Indiependence.
A teenager from Clonmel, Co.Tipperary remains critically ill at Cork University Hospital, after he fell ill at the Indiependence Music Festival.
A major Garda investigation is now underway, into what is believed to be a contaminated batch of drugs, that the 19 year old may have ingested.
The Irish Independent reports that it is not understood currently what drugs exactly were involved but detectives believe it was either ecstasy or MDMA
His condition deteriorated following concerns from friends at the festival on Friday.
He was treated on site and was rushed to Cork University Hospital where it is understood he now remains on life support in Intensive Care.
