Tributes paid following death of 'kind-hearted' Wexford student who 'brought happiness to so many people'

Tributes have been pouring following the sudden passing of much-loved Wexford teenager Lee Nolan on Friday last.

Fifth-year LCA student Lee (16) lived in Ballymurn Co. Wexford and attended St. Mary's CBS in Enniscorthy.

He is survived by his parents Caroline and David, along with his brother Aaron and sisters Natasha and Zoe.

Lee was a much-loved and popular member of both his local community and secondary school, an attribute highlighted as the recipient of this year's 5th Year LCA class award.

Extending their condolences to Lee's family, St. Mary's CBS said that their "thoughts and prayers are with Lee Nolan’s family, extended family, friends, our school community and the wider community at this sad time."

Lee was laid to rest at the Church of the Assumption and St Malachy, Ballymurn, on Monday, May 16th.

Friends and family have since left hundreds of touching comments on RIP.ie, with one writing "A beautiful, boy, who seemed to have brought such happiness to so many people, a lovely smile. Sympathy to his parents, siblings and extended family on their devastating loss. May his gentle soul rest in peace."

Another wrote: "On the occasions, I met Lee, especially at the time that his Grandad was in Hospital Lee was a ray of sunshine. Had the laugh and great company to be in and always thought of others ."

A third added: "Lee was such a kind-hearted soul around the village. He was so kind and friendly to everyone in primary school and outside of ye school. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
