British police say two brothers and their cousin were among four boys who died after falling into a frozen lake in Solihull in England.

Samuel and Finlay Butler, aged six and eight, lost their lives along with their 11 year old cousin Thomas Stewart.

10 year-old Jack Johnson was the fourth boy who died following the tragedy on Sunday.

Releasing a statement online earlier, West Midlands Police say; "The families of three of the children who fell into Babbs Mill Lake have released pictures of their ‘beautiful boys’.

"Brothers Finlay and Samuel with their cousin Thomas were pulled from the freezing water along with 10-year-old Jack Johnson."

Yesterday, it was confirmed the fourth boy, aged 6, died in hospital following the tragedy on Sunday.

West Midlands Police said: “Our deepest sympathies are with the families and friends of those involved in this tragedy.

"We cannot comprehend the enormity of the pain they must feel and our hearts go out to them."
