Two hospitalised following house fire caused by possible gas explosion

Two people have been taken to hospital following a fire in the South East.

The fire took place at a house in Co. Wexford this morning.

It happened in the Ferns area at around 7.30am.

A man in his 40s and another in his 90s were brought to Wexford General Hospital as a result.

It's understood they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Early reports suggest the fire may have been caused by a possible gas explosion.

Investigations are underway.
