University Hospital Waterford, St. Luke's Kilkenny Carlow cancel services due to weather

As a result of the extreme weather conditions in Waterford and South East, University Hospital Waterford has cancelled a number of services.

St. Luke's in Kilkenny have issued a similar notice.

All non-urgent UHW activity including Outpatient Clinics and elective surgery is being cancelled for today, tomorrow and Friday.

In the interest of safety, patients deferred will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

All emergency and urgent services will continue to be delivered. This will be reviewed on Friday 2nd March.

Meanwhile, St Luke's General Hospital Carlow-Kilkenny clinics and procedures are scheduled as normal today.

However, if patients are unable to attend, they are advised to contact the hospital directly using the number on their appointment letter (or on (056) 778 5000).

In order to minimise unnecessary travel risks for patients, all elective and outpatient appointments at St Luke’s have been cancelled for tomorrow and Friday due to the upgrading of the weather warnings by Met Eireann.
