Videos have appeared online of a male breaking out of a Garda van.
Gardaí say a male aged in his teens was arrested on suspicion of theft, before absconding from an official Garda van in Galway.
The video circulating, appears to show the youth prise the side door of a cell van open, before running across a shopping centre car park.
It's not yet clear how it happened but an investigation has been launched into the incident.

According to the Garda Press Office "The male has not been returned to custody at this time."
