Volunteers are being sought for the upcoming 'big Deise sleep out' which takes place in December.
It's being organised by focus Ireland and aims to raise awareness of homelessness in Ireland.
The number of families becoming homeless has increased by over 42% since August 2016.

"We are calling on the people of Waterford to get involved in this fundraiser with us.
"Over 3,000 children will be homeless this Christmas and we really need to make sure they have as many vital services as they require."
