Healthcare communications company, RelateCare, set to expand as they continue to offer patient access, and telehealth solutions to leading health systems.

The Irish-American healthcare communications firm, has announced an expansion of its operations with the creation of 180 new jobs both in Ireland and the USA over 2019.

Headquartered in Waterford, Ireland and Cleveland, Ohio, RelateCare originally began as a joint venture between Cleveland Clinic and RigneyDolphin in 2013.

By merging the renowned healthcare excellence of Cleveland Clinic with the customer service and contact center expertise of RigneyDolphin, RelateCare have become a pioneer in revolutionizing how patients can access their care in a more convenient and cost-effective manner.

RelateCare provide consultancy services to healthcare systems seeking to transform their patient communications models from cost-centers, to value-adding revenue generators. RelateCare also offer a number of remote patient communication services from their two world-class healthcare contact centers, including Nurse Triage, Post Discharge, Prior-Authorization and Appointment Scheduling services.

Alongside Cleveland Clinic, RelateCare have partnered with Stanford Children’s Health, Lahey Health, VNA New Jersey, Texas Children’s Hospital, SLUCare Physicians Group, and recently Duke Health, among many others.

The announcement was made at a round table business briefing with the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar TD in the US Chamber of Commerce offices in Washington, D.C.

Welcoming the announcement, Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar TD said, “RelateCare is the perfect example of what Irish and American businesses can achieve together,” stated An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, Irish Prime Minister. “The continuing success of RelateCare lies in its formation, specialized support services and innovative solutions.”

Waterford native and RelateCare CEO, Conor O’Byrne had this to say, “It’s incredibly exciting to be able to announce such a significant amount of new jobs this year. RelateCare started out as just 5 people in 2013, and now to be heading toward 500 it really is a testament to the incredible demand for our innovative and proven patient access solutions. Across the globe, healthcare costs are rising and so is demand for high-quality services. RelateCare are poised to be leaders when it comes to meeting this challenge head-on, by reducing costs for providers and supporting patients to get the care they need when they need it”.

These 180 highly skilled roles, to be filled over the next year, will be a mix of Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Patient Service Representatives and Support Staff, all providing essential support to patients as they seek to connect and engage with their healthcare provider.
