Waterford poet honoured at Bord Gáis Energy Book Awards

The Bord Gais Energy Book Awards celebrate writers and poets from across the nation.

The Listowel Writer's Week Irish Poem of the Year went to Waterford poet Clodagh Beresford Dunne.

The poem "Seven Sugar Cubes" was inspired by the death of her father in Australia.

Clodagh reveals "I said at the Awards last night that I couldn't believe a time of such great loss and sorrow could be turned into a moment of joy with that Award.

I'm really grateful to God for it."
