Workers at Bausch & Lomb vote in favour of new deal

Workers at Bausch and Lomb have voted to accept a new pay deal.

They voted by a majority of six to one in favour of the deal which was agreed between Management and Unions at the workplace relations commission last week.

640 workers voted for the deal and 140 against. They will now receive a pay rise of 3.75% in year one, two and a half percent in year two and another two and a half percent in year three.

It also includes a one off payment of 500 euro in January, five weeks sick pay with no conditions, three days extra holidays and faster time to full pay for temporary workers.
