Young pianists take the stage in New Ross this week

The 2016 New Ross Piano Festival kicks off this Thursday.

The festival is now in it's 11th year and runs until September 25th.

Festival Director Connie Tantrum tells Beat News, "it's four days of music, mostly classical - although we do have some jazz piano now.

It's all devoted to the piano - it's very enjoyable - all sorts of different levels of piano playing. from international really top class pianists to young students from the south east who put on a concert of their own piano students."
