Ireland striker Shane Long has signed a new contract with Southampton, ending speculation about his future.
The Tipperary native had been linked with a number of Premier League clubs after his impressive performances for the Saints last season, with his goals helping the club qualify for the Europa League group stages for the first time.
However, the Gortnahoe man has put pen to paper on a four-year deal which will keep him at St Mary’s until 2020.
