Aaron Dobbs returns to Wexford FC for 2023

Wexford FC have confirmed that Aaron Dobbs will return for 2023.

The fan-favourite is a Wexford native and has lined out on 59 occasions for the Ferrycarricg club.

A club statement reads: "It is with great pleasure that we confirm the return of Aaron Dobbs for 2023. The Wexford native has established himself as a clinical forward with a keen eye for goal, netting 17 times for the club.

"Aaron is a firm favourite at Ferrycarrig and fans have been eager for confirmation of his signature. Since making his professional debut at 17, the Wexford native has continued to cultivate his talents in the League of Ireland.

"Having contributed 10 goals and 4 assists last season, the 23-year-old can look forward to an exciting season under new manager James Keddy, joining a host of new attacking talents.

"Season tickets are on sale now."

Dobbs joins Conor Levingston and Ethan Boyle, as well as a host of new acquisitions to bolster James Keddy's side.

Previously speaking to SportsBeat, Wexford's new manager Keddy highlighted his desire for experience: "A team is made up of different characters and different players.

"For the different positions, I'm looking for a little bit of experience down the team's spine.

"My team will be very organised and very disciplined."

His Wexford side has swiftly been brought into the conversation for playoff spots and fans are eager for the opening game week against rivals Waterford FC.

Fans of the Black and Pink Brigade will be licking their lips at the prospect of a successful season.
