GAA Weekend Preview: Waterford and Kilkenny the pick of the bunch

A bumper schedule awaits fans of the big and little ball this weekend, as the latest chapter in the GAA League schedule plays out.

Multiple teams from across the South East line out on both days, and we've covered all the essential details below.

There is a standout fixture between two of hurlings heavy hitters, but there is plenty before and after to whet your appetite.

Saturday, March 17th.

Allianz Football League Division Three:

Tipperary welcomes Offaly to Thurles for a 2 pm start. The visitors don't have long to travel and can expect a good showing from the faithful.

FBD Semple Stadium is the venue.

Allianz Football League Division Four:

Lemybrien is the venue for Waterford's meeting with London.
This one gets underway at a later time of 5 pm.

At the same time, Sligo makes the trip to Netwatch Cullen Park to take on Carlow.

The final South East representation in the division pits Wexford versus Wicklow in Chadwicks Wexford Park for a 7 pm start.

 

Sunday, March 18th.

Allianz Hurling League Division 1A:

Wexford makes the trip to the TUS Gaelic Ground to face Limerick at 1:45 pm.

 

Allianz Hurling League Division 1B:

Tipperary will look to continue their fine form when they make the long journey to Corrigan Park to face Antrim at 1:45 pm.

At the same time, the undeniable spectacle of the weekend will throw in at Nowlan Park as Kilkenny faces off against Waterford.

 

Allianz Hurling League Division 2A:

Cullen Park will host the meeting of Carlow versus Derry with a throw-in time of 1 pm.
