Tipperary and Wexford represented in FAI Junior Cup quarter-finals

Tipperary kingpins St. Michael's AFC will make the long trip to Inishowen to take on Buncrana Hearts in the FAI Junior Cup quarter-finals.

The Tipperary and Southern District League outfit meet Hearts, who beat Salthill Devon in the sixth round, with an away tie on offer for the winners in the semi-final.

St Michael’s produced a stellar performance in seeing off Waterford's Hibernians, with club captain Jimmy Carr receiving widespread plaudits.

Wexford's Gorey Rangers were also in the hat, having earned a deserved victory against Limerick powerhouse Fairview Rangers in their 6th-round tie.

Defender Stephen Moloney forced home an extra-time winner to send Rangers into the quarter-finals, where they will welcome Colga FC from Galway.
