We're delving into the world of SimRacing!!

All this week on Beat we're diving into the world of SimRacing, and asking what role does Ireland have to play?

SimRacing is the simulation of racing cars and series, aimed at both real-world drivers who want to improve their skills before hitting the track, and racing enthusiasts, who can't afford the astronomical cost of motorsport.

The discipline has seen an explosion during the pandemic, with membership numbers of the most respected sim titles doubling, and TV audiences in the millions for main events.

In our Spotlight on SimRacing - Pit Lanes and Pixels - we hear from drivers (including current F1 Champion Max Verstappen), broadcasters, organizers, and retailers of SimRacing gear, with full sim rigs costing as high as €20,000.
