Sonic Mania has a new trailer that shows off even more of the upcoming retro-styled game. It also finally announced a release date: August 15th.
The trailer is bookended by some charming, seemingly hand-drawn animation of Sonic, before cutting to some slick gameplay footage of the blue hedgehog doing what he does best — running at breakneck speed through branching levels while viciously stomping the life out of adorable robots.
Mania was first scheduled to release earlier in the spring before getting delayed back in March. We’ll find out if it was worth the wait in just a few months.
