Retail Store Manager- Kilkenny
A leading Agri/Hardware Store is seeking to recruit a Store Manager with experience in this Industry for their store in Kilkenny. Our client would love to hear from an outgoing individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage their store.
The ideal candidate for this job has strong organisational and time management skills while being able to demonstrate the ability to lead and engage their employees/ team.
This is a perfect job opportunity for a people leader with experience as an Assistant Manager or Store Manager coupled with excellent commercial skills looking to join a progressive group.
Skills and qualities required for this job:
- Minimum of 2-3 years in retail management with DIY experience
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Understanding of Agri, builder providers, plumbing, electrical and DIY categories while not essential would be a distinct advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office, POS, and IT skills.
- Experience in customer service and leading a Team in company principals.
- Strong management skills while being detailed oriented.
- Backgrounds in Builders Providers/ Agri Background are a plus.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Ability to lead a motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic sales team.
- Ensure excellent store standards.
- Drive sales and deliver on our commitment to excellence in customer service.
- Ensure safety- first culture while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance amongst company procedures and policy standards.
- Ability to analyse sales performance to ensure Key Performance Indicators are met.
- Maintain and ensure a successful operation of the overall site.
- Manage a busy price file subject to Industry price changes.
- Oversee in-house stock taking procedures so accurate levels are available on the EPOS system.
