Clare 'streets ahead' of Waterford - Shanahan

Waterford selector Dan Shanahan believes Allianz Hurling League final opponents Clare are 'streets ahead' of the Deise.

According to the Irish Examiner, Shanahan described Clare's performance against All-Ireland champions Kilkenny as 'absolutely outstanding', after Banner boss Davy Fitzgerald called the Deise 'the best in the country'.

Meanwhile, it's expected Shanahan's younger brother Maurice will undergo further tests on the injury that kept him out of Sunday's semi-final

The Munster rivals will clash in the Allianz Hurling League final on May 1st, before the pair lock horns again in the Munster Championship on the 5th of June.
