Presenting Percy opts out of Red Mills Chase at Gowran Park

Presenting Percy has not declared for the Red Mills Chase tomorrow at Gowran Park.

The Pat-Kelly trained horse was expected to race at the meeting tomorrow after reports earlier in the week that his owner Philip Reynolds was happy with his progress.

Speaking to Beat Sport, General manager of Gowran Park Eddie Scally says it's still set to be a huge race day

"It's one of the best Red Mills Chases I've seen, definitely the best chase that I've seen in my time at Gowran Park and I'm here 7 years.

"I'd say you'd have to go back a good bit in history to find a better one.

"You've 3 grade 1 winners there and you've the horse that finished third in the Gold Cup last year all taking each other on in a chase in Gowran which is unheard of.

"It's still going to be as exciting and even as big a race as we'd hoped it would be so everything is looking perfect for the day.

"Fingers crossed the 4 horses get here and get around safe and may the best one win".
