It reads: "We are delighted to confirm the arrival of midfielder Mark Hanratty.

"Another highly talented midfielder, Hanratty spent 3 years with Dundalk FC before making a mid-season switch to Longford Town in 2022.

"Hanratty played under James Keddy at Longford Town for those 6 months, and also at Home Farm FC (where Keddy was Director of Football) prior to Hanratty joining Dundalk.

"Mark made 8 appearances in the Premier Division for Dundalk, before making an instant impact at Longford Town.  The midfielder scored 3 goals in 11 appearances after joining the club in July 2022.

"He joins Aaron Robinson as our second confirmed signing for the 2023 season, with lots of announcements just around the corner!"

Robinson was a crucial member of last year’s Longford Town side that comfortably reached the First Division Playoffs, linking up with former manager Keddy.

A club statement read: "At 25 years old, Robinson is a well-established player at this level with 61 senior LOI appearances.

"He played a full part in Longford’s Premier Division season in 2021 also, with 27 appearances that year.

"He pitched in with 3 goals last season, including two wonder strikes in the midlands Classico and against Wexford early in the season."
