Idris Elba will receive a special award at this year's Bafta TV ceremony.
The actor will be honoured for his creative contribution, as well as his work promoting diversity and new talent in the industry.
The Luther star's described it as a "great privilege".
Due to coronavirus restrictions, the event will be held virtually at the end of the month.
