A yellow weather warning is in place in parts of the South East

Motorists across the South East are being urged to take extra care on the roads this morning.

A yellow rainfall warning is in place today for all of Connacht, Munsters and seven counties in Leinster.

The counties affected in the region are Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford.

Met Eireann says there's a potential for heavy downpours up to midnight tonight - with a risk of flooding in places.
