Abuse survivor reacts to Primetime investigation

An RTE Primetime report has investigated whether more could have been done in Waterford to stop ongoing abuse of teenagers in the 70's and 80s.

In December former Basketball coach Bill Kenneally pleaded guilty to charges of indecently assaulting ten boys at Waterford Circuit court.

Earlier this year he was jailed for 14 years and two months.

A survivor of the abuse - Jason Clancy - gave his reaction to the programme to Beat News:

"I was happy enough with it, I know the Primetime team put a lot of work into it.

The RTE lawyers, I think, edited a lot out of it.

A lot of questions we had asked couldn't be shown for legal reasons.

So, I suppose the fight for the truth to come out will continue."
