€633,000 in government founding announced in Wexford for 'always online' solution

Junior Minister John Halligan is visiting the headquarters of Taoglas in Wexford this morning to announce the funding of €633,000.

It's for what's called a ZRM project which creates a technology platform from various sources to give an "always online" solution for fixed and mobile applications.

The funding from the European Space Agency was co-ordinated by Enterprise Ireland.

The promising company, created by Ronan Quinlan and Dermot O'Shea, is a leading antenna technology brand globally.

Taoglas have also been able to employ six engineers to develop the platform and hope to hire more at their Wexford facility over the next 12 months.
