Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating an alleged sexual assault on a female which occurred in the south east on Christmas day.
The confirmation follows a report that a man was arrested in relation to an alleged rape before being released without charge on Sunday.
It's reported that a woman alleged she was attacked on board a ship.
The incident is currently being investigated by Gardaí.
