Motorists warned as Storm Deirdre brings serious flooding to the South East

Gardaí are warning motorists to take extra precautions when driving today as heavy rain and floods have hit the South East.

In Kilkenny, motorists are asked to take care with floods on the N24 from Mooncoin to Waterford near Carrigeen after a car mounted a bank.

Another flood has been reported at Dunkitt Bridge, Kilmacow.

In Waterford a car overturned on the N25 main Waterford to Dungarvan road.

No injuries have been reported.

Gardaí have also reported serious floods in Portlaw where the river has burst its banks, as well as floods near Radley Engineering Dungarvan.
