Wexford hotels win big at Gold Medal Awards

The Gold Medal Awards have honoured a number of hotels in the region.

Kelly's Resort Hotel, Co. Wexford has been crowned Gold Medal Supreme Winner.

The awards - in association with Hotel and Catering Review magazine - were announced at the event in Kilkenny's Lyrath Estate Hotel.

Kelly's was also awarded Ireland's Family Friendly Hotel.

The list of regional winners include;

• Gold Medal Supreme Winner - Kelly's Resort & Hotel, Co. Wexford
• Ireland's Country House & Guest House - Marlfield House, Co. Wexford
• Ireland's Four Star Hotel Spa Experience - Oceo Spa, Seafield Hotel, Co. Wexford
• Ireland's Family Friendly Hotel - Kelly's Resort Hotel, Co. Wexford

Food and Service Awards include;

• Ireland's Executive Chef of the Year - Ken Harker, Mount Juliet Estate, Co. Kilkenny
• Ireland's Rising Star Chef of the Year - Niamh Barry, The Bay Tree Bistro, Co. Waterford
• Ireland's Newcomer Restuarant - Wild and Native Seafood Restuarant, Co. Wexford
