Aldi uniform items on sale for €2 in the south east

Reports this week have been revealing the high costs of sending children back to school in September.

Primary school costs are averaging at around three hundred euro here in the region but costs nationwide have escalated to over nine hundred euro .

This morning Aldi launched their affordable generic school clothing range.

Items of clothing such as school trousers, skirts, polos and sweaters went on sale for two euro each.

Jean in Waterford was quick to snap up some bargains this morning:

"Well I'm buying the Aldi uniforms purely from a cost point of view. THe expense associated with sending children back to school is quite high and if I can make a saving anywhere I will do so.

Yeah I don't really see any major difference, I think the uniforms get such a hacking in the school yard anyway that each and every one of them have more or less the same kind of quality."
