Ban on sale of vaping products to under-18s approved by cabinet

A ban on the sale of e-cigarettes for under 18s has been approved by cabinet.

New proposals will see the sale of vaping devices removed from self-service machines and mobile premises.

In addition, advertisements for e-cigarettes will be prohibited on public transport, in cinemas and near schools.

The bill was brought forward by Health Minister Stephen Donnelly and Public Health Minister Frank Feighan.
