Car 'parked up' to avoid Garda checkpoint in Tipperary

A car parked up before a checkpoint in order to avoid Gardaí in Cahir, County Tipperary.

It was found to have no tax, insurance or the DOE Commercial Vehicle Test required for goods vehicles.

The news emerged on the official Garda Síochana Twitter account.

The car has been seized and the driver is to appear in court over the matter.

Gardaí are reminding motorists to obey the law on our roads.
