The Munster Young Carer of Year has been awarded to Co. Tipp's Jack Cooney.
10-year-old Jack helps care for his 16-year-old brother James.
James has cerebral palsy, is a wheelchair user and requires round-the-clock care.
James attends Scoil Aonghusa in Cashel and School Principal Siobhan Keyes Ryan says, "it's a huge privilege and a huge achievement. We have no doubt of the capabilities of Jack and the family in general - the McCarthy Cooney family.

Jack has been coming in here with James since he was a baby himself and you can see the relationship between the two of them."
