Jeffrey Epstein's death ruled a suicide

A medical examiner has ruled Jeffrey Epstein's death a suicide, saying he hanged himself in his jail cell.

Epstein's body was discovered in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in Manhattan last Saturday where he was awaiting trial in a sex trafficking case.

He was found alone in his cell when he was found even though he only recently returned to the special housing unit from suicide watch.

Since Epstein’s death, details have emerged about the jail that appear to show it is a chronically understaffed facility that possibly made a series of missteps in handling its most high-profile inmate.
