LISTEN: Waterford declared cleanest city by Irish Business Against Litter

Some litter blackspots have shown no improvement in the last three years.

Irish Business Against Litter says some urban areas of Dublin, Cork and Galway are persistently littered.

Their Anti-Litter League results saw Waterford crowned as the cleanest city in Ireland, while Fermoy in Cork is the cleanest town.

Kilkenny also placed as the second cleanest city in the country.

IBAL's Conor Horgan says the reoccurring problem of litter blackspots needs to be tackled.
