Tipp toddler awarded €65,000 in damages after being run over by ESB repairman

A toddler in Tipperary has been awarded €65,000 in damages after being run over by an ESB repairman.

The child's arm was broken and required surgery after the incident.

Toddler Conor O'Gorman had crawled out of the front door of his house in Fethard Co. Tipperary in February 2016.

The High Court heard that he made his way onto the driveway where an ESB repairman accidentally reversed over him.

Counsel for Conor said in court the ESB man arrived to carry out repairs in the house.

He left the front door open and the plaintiff crawled out onto the front drive.

When finishing his work, he reversed his car over the plaintiff, causing a fracture to the ulna in his right arm.

Conor, who is now four-years-old, has made a full recovery but has developed a fear of cars.
