Brian Dowling continues as Kilkenny senior camogie manager

At a meeting of the Kilkenny County Board yesterday evening, Brian Dowling has been formally ratified for his 4th-year term as Kilkenny senior camogie Manager.

Dowling's record at the helm is extremely strong, having guided the cats to two All-Ireland victories in the past three years.

The O Loughlin Gaels clubman retains the same backroom team that helped him achieve All-Ireland glory last month in Croke Park.

A statement from the County board reads:

Brian Dowling has been formally ratified for his 4th-year term as Senior Manager: his record speaks for itself having won two All-Irelands in the last 3 years having narrowly missed out on one when he was a coach back in 2019. The O Loughlin Gaels clubman will keep the same backroom team that helped him guide the Seniors to All-Ireland glory in August this year.

Seamus Kelly has been ratified as the new Intermediate manager: Seamus has managed underage teams with Kilkenny in the past while also having a stint as the Intermediate coach back in 2015. The Mount Leinster Rangers clubman guided DCU to Ashbourne cup glory this year and had many Kilkenny girls on the team. Seamus will also take up a selectors role with Brian Dowling’s Senior team and give some continuity to both panels next year.

Mike Wall has been ratified as Minor manager for 2023. The two-time winning Minor manager (2015 & 2021) lost out to Galway in this year's All-Ireland semi-final. Mike brings a wealth of experience with him to the role having won the Intermediate All-Ireland in 2016 as manager as well as his two minor victories. His backroom team will be announced at a later date.
