Carlow Among Football All Star Nominations

Carlow Among Football All Star Nominations

There's one player from the south east among the nominees for this year's PwC Footall All Stars.

Carlow's Paul Broderick has been rewarded for his scoring exploits which helped the county to a first Championship win over Kildare for over sixty years and a place in the Leinster semi-finals.

As expected, All Ireland champions Dublin dominate the nominations list. Of the forty-five names, twelve are from the capital.

Tyrone, Galway and Monaghan have seven each, with three for Kildare and Donegal, two for Kerry, and one each for Carlow, Armagh, Fermanagh and Laois.

Dublin trio Ciarán Kilkenny, Jack McCaffrey and Brian Fenton are the nominees for Senior Player of the Year.

Brian Howard of Dublin, Kerry's David Clifford and Michael McKernan of Tyrone will battle it out for the Young Player award.
