GAA Senior Club Championship update

There are over 100 GAA Senior Club Championship Fixtures throughout the weekend, with most counties entering the business end of their Championships.

With much to look forward to, a busy schedule’s highlight includes senior and intermediate football finals in County Carlow.
Friday 30th September
We start with the Dominic Smith Expert Electrical Wexford Senior Football Championship Quarter Final and the meeting of Shelmaliers and Starlight. Throw-in is at 9:00 pm in Bree.
Saturday 1st October 

Starting with Carlow and there are two games down for decision on Saturday.

First up is the Talbot Hotel Carlow Intermediate Football Championship Final. Fenagh faces Naomh Eoin at Netwatch Cullen Park, with a throw-in time of 6:00 pm.

Later, it’s the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Carlow Senior Football Championship Relegation Play-off. Old Leighlin meets Ballinabranna at Netwatch Training Centre, Fenagh, with a throw-in at 7.30 pm.

Moving to Kilkenny and the St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling Relegation Final. Páirc Lachtain is the venue for Lisdowney v Graigue Ballycalle, with a throw-in at 12:30 pm.

 

We have the FBD Insurance Tipperary Senior Football Championship Relegation Final in Bansha. Aherlow faces off against Cahir, with a throw-in time of 2:30 pm.

Two games are down for decision in the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Waterford Senior Football Championship. Walsh Park hosts a doubleheader with action underway at 2:00 pm.

Kilrossanty meets St Saviour’s, followed by the meeting of Kilmacthomas and Portlaw at 3:45 pm.

 

O’Kennedy Park plays a doubleheader in the Dominic Smith Expert Electrical Wexford Senior Football Championship Quarter Finals.

St. Anne’s Rathangan takes on Glynn-Barntown at 2:00 pm, followed by the meeting of Gusserane O’Rahilly’s and St. James’ at 4:15 pm.

 

Sunday 2nd October 

The Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Carlow Senior Football Championship Final is in Netwatch Cullen Park at 4:00 pm.

Tinryland faces off against Palatine in the eagerly awaited showpiece.

 

It’s approaching the business end of the Championship in Kilkenny, and there are two games to look forward to.

The St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship Quarter Final pits Clara v Ballyhale Shamrocks.

Throw-in is at UPMC Nowlan Park at 2:00 pm. That’s followed by the Semi-Final meeting of James Stephens and Dicksboro at 3:45 pm.

 

Golden is the setting for the FBD Insurance Tipperary County Senior Football Championship Semi-Finals.

First up, Moyle Rovers meets Clonmel Commercials at 1:30 pm. Later, Loughmore-Castleiney and Upperchurch-Drombane lock horns at 3:15 pm.

 

In Waterford, the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Waterford Senior Football Championship has two games in Fraher Field.

Clashmore/Kinsalebeg take on Brickey Rangers at 1:45 pm. Later, Stradbally v An Rinn throws in at 3:30 pm.

 

Finally, the Dominic Smith Expert Electrical Wexford Senior Football Championship Quarter Final has one fixture.

Kilanerin faces off against Castletown in Chadwicks Wexford Park, with a throw-in at 4:00 pm.
