Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag insists that his side is not in the Premier League title race.

Last night's 3-nil victory over Bournemouth was their sixth in a row in all competitions and means they're now nine points off top-flight leaders Arsenal.

United also opened up a five-point cushion in the top-four race, following Tottenham's 2-nil loss against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Marcus Rashford scored for the third successive game, bringing his league tally to 7 goals.

Despite the growing momentum at Old Trafford, ten Hag says his side is still some way off being genuine contenders: "We have to go from game to game and get the progress.

"I think, the belief is growing and that's a good signal. It is good to have that feeling."

The Dutchman was happy with the three points, but as reported by Sky Sports, he felt his side rode their luck at times.

Midfielder Donny van de Beek suffered a horrific challenge during the game, leaving the player visibly upset as he left the field.

His injury is to be assessed today, but early indications are not good.

There is no rest for this impressive United team as they face a struggling Everton side on Friday in the FA Cup.

The third round fixture is to be played at Old Trafford, with kick-off at 8 pm.
