Waterford FC will look to bounce back from a disappointing loss in game week three against Galway United when they make the trip to Athlone Town on Friday evening.

Danny Searle's side has collected four points from a possible nine, and the pre-season favourites currently sit in fifth place in the table.

The home side has won two of their opening three fixtures, although they endured a tough time in the South East last time out, falling to a 3-defeat at the hands of Wexford FC.

Confidence is high in Ferrycarrig Park, and manager James Keddy has tasted success for the first time in the league.

The Wexford men make the trip to Ballybofey to face a Finn Harps side who are yet to register a win.

Dave Roger's men shared the points with Bray Wanderers in their last outing, with Bray occupying second spot in the table.

Ian Ryan made the move from Wexford to Bray and has yet to taste defeat in the league.

His side has strong and are playing with a dogged reserve. They welcome Longford town to the Carlisle grounds, who are also without a win to their name.

League leaders Galway United have enjoyed a 100% start to the 2023 season and host league newcomers Kerry FC to Eamonn Deacy Park.

The men from the Kingdom are riding the euphoric wave that came by way of their first-ever point in League of Ireland football.

Finally, Limerick's Treaty United are also looking to register their first win of the league season.

They welcome Cobh Ramblers to Markets Field, with hopes high of achieving a first win of the season for Tommy Barrett's men.
