He started his League of Ireland career with Shamrock Rovers, before spells with Bohemians, Galway United, and Irish Premier side Larne.

Speaking to WaterfordFC.ie. he said: "I’m delighted to be signing for such a great club. Everything here is set up brilliantly and the facilities are top-class.

"I’ve seen first-hand what the players here are capable of and I know the buzz that the fans create both home and away.

"I’m excited to get the chance to play my football here and play my part in the push for promotion for the club."

Oluwa becomes Danny Searle's first signing ahead of the 2023 campaign and the Blue's boss has been speaking about his arrival.

"We are delighted that Thomas has signed for the club", he said.

"He showed some real quality last season and is a welcome addition to our side.

"He is at a good age and has a lot of potential, which we are really confident will enhance our attacking options next season.

"I have spoken with Thomas several times and his ambition to be successful is in line with the ambition of the club."

Searle has recently committed his long-term future to the club, signing a multi-year contract extension.

He led the club to a playoff final against Premier Division side UCD, marginally losing out by a goal to nil at Richmond Park.

Following talks with owner Andy Pilley regarding the direction of the club, the 44-year-old was delighted to commit to the long-term project at the RSC.
