Revenue & Customs seize €70,000 worth of drugs in Waterford

Revenue’s Customs Service and the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau supported by officers from the Waterford Divisional Drugs Unit have seized 1kg of cocaine.

As part of ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups operating in the area, a joint intelligence-led operation took place today.

The investigation targeting Organised Crime Groups operating here, resulted in the identification and interception of a consignment which arrived into Ireland.

A search of a house in Tramore resulted in the seizure of approximately 1kg of Cocaine believed to be worth €70,000. A man in his 30s was arrested and is currently detained at Tramore Garda Station.
