Gardai and the RSA are urging people to take extra care on the roads this Bank Holiday Monday.

The total number of people killed on our roads so far this year is 97.

13 of whom were people on the region's roads.

Tipperary Inspector Eddie Golden has this message for motorists, "what I would say to people is the minute you become a road user, not just a driver - meaning you could be a pedestrian, cyclist, motorcyclist, driving a HGV, a tractor, or whatever it might be. You need to think about the job you're doing."
