Emergency services are at the scene of a light aircraft crash outside Waterford city.
It happened just before midday on the approach to Waterford Airport.
The plane, which was being flown by a trainee pilot, encountered a problem shortly after takeoff.

The pilot attempted an emergency landing on a strip of land close to the airport, however, the plane clipped a branch and overturned.
The pilot walked away from the incident.
