Carlow shop owner appeals for help finding man who held staff at knifepoint

A Carlow shop owner has appealled for help in finding a man who robbed at shop and traumatised staff this morning.

The incident happened at the Mace shop in Bennekerry on the Hacketstown Road at around 8am today.

Gardai confirmed a man produced a knife and threatened staff, demanding they hand over money from the tills. It is understood he left the scene with a sum of cash.

In a Facebook post, the shop's owner, Kevin Nolan, urged anyone who has information to come forward.
