Gardaí in Kilkenny are appealing for information after incidents in the city

20.03.21 Criminal Damage, Ring Road, Kilkenny

Gardaí in Kilkenny are investigating an incident where a bus was struck by an unknown object resulting in damage to a window pane on the left side of the vehicle.

The bus was approaching the Hebron Road Roundabout shortly before 7.30pm on Saturday evening when the incident occurred.

There were no passengers on board at the time, no one was injured.

A further incident occurred around 7.20pm on the Ring Road where a car was hit with balls of mud, no damage was sustained to the vehicle.

Anyone who witnessed these incidents or may have information is asked to contact Gardaí in Kilkenny.

19.03.21-20.03.21 Theft from car St Francis Terrace, Kilkenny

Gardaí in Kilkenny are investigating the theft of a catalytic converter from a car parked in St Francis Terrace.

The car, a red Toyota Prius, was parked in the estate between 6pm on Friday evening and 4pm on Saturday.

The catalytic converter was removed between these times.

Another incident where a catalytic converter was taken was reported to Gardaí in Kilkenny, the incident occurred between 5pm on Friday and 3pm on Saturday.

The car, a bronze Toyota Prius, was parked in Seville Lawn, Margaret’s Field when the part was removed from the car.

A third incident was reported to Gardaí in Callan where a catalytic converter was removed from a car in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The green Toyota Prius was parked in a lane way when the part was taken.

Anyone with information in relation to any of these incidents is asked to contact Gardaí.
