Junior Minister and Waterford TD John Halligan says Donald Trump is an "obnoxious character" whose views on women are appalling.
It's after the US President said he would consider bringing back waterboarding as a form of torture.
Halligan says he doesn't want to meet Donald Trump if he comes to Ireland and that he has "little time" for the 45th President.
He admits that 'regretfully', the Irish government will have to work with him.
It comes as US Press Secretary Sean Spicer confirmed that the Taoiseach has been invited to the White House for St. Patrick's Day.

There's no word yet on whether Enda Kenny has accepted the invitation.
