The countdown is on to this years Kilkenny Arts Festival.
From August 5th to 14th the city’s historic churches, castle, courtyards, townhouses and gardens willl house a wide variety of performances.
Since its foundation in 1974, it has gathered many of the world’s finest musicians, performers, writers and artist in the region.
Festival Director Eugene Downes says, "it's really heaving for the 10 days, we've people from all over Ireland and across Europe - even we've people coming in from the United States and South America.

We've this incredible mixutre of people milling around morning, noon and night really."
